First ISO Surveillance Audit Successful

The ISO Surveillance Audit took place on 23rd of this month. In response to the audit, the Auditors from TUV Nord appreciated our Library and Information Centre among five best positive points of our college. Their feedback about our department has doubled our confidence and responsibility.

We thank each and every one for making our department so prestigious and respectable. Thanks.

Library Orientation Programme for MA Economics Students

The first year students of MA Economics of our College participated in the Library Orientation Programme held in the Library premises on 12-09-2011. Around 35 students participated in the event and availed the benefit of the same. The Library staff thank Dr. Marina Pareira and her studnets for making this event successful.

Book Review Competition

The Library and Information Centre and Junior College's Science Section have jointly organised Book Review Competition. Students may enroll their name for the competition. Last date to register: 30-09-2011. For more details about the competition, please contact the Librarian or Prof. Muley Madam.

Third ISO Internal Audit Succeessful

The Library and Information Centre was audited by Prof. Mona Bhatia (Vice Principal) on 20th August, 2011. This was the third Internal Audit post ISO Certification.

The auditor appreciated the management of Library and archiving system of Library's official documents. She also suggested to maintain Monthly Monitoring Report of the Library Staff.

Our Library and Information Centre is organising UGC Sponsored National Conference on Open Access Movement in the Age of Innovation and ICT (OAMII) : Trends, Challenges and Opportunities. The two-day conference is scheduled on 2nd-3rd December, 2011 in our College premises.

UK Teacher Visits Our Library

Ms. Helena Martin, of Willesborough Junior School, Ashford, Kent UK, visited our Library on 17th August, 2011. She is in our institute under the Faculty Exchange Programme. Ms. Helen liked our Library very much. She writes in our Visitor's Register, " Very well resourced Library..welcoming and encouraging for the students".

Blood Donation Camp in Our Library

The NSS wing and Library of our College organised Blood Donation Camp on 11-08-2011. We got an excellent response from our Students. Around 155 students donated their blood for the special cause. We thank each one of our donaor for joining in the event and making it successful.
