I am indeed happy to post one of the most touching and memorable speeches ever made in our college by our proud student, Ms.Aditi Shah, the topper (91%) in HSC Exams, 2010. Her speech which brought tears in the eyes of teachers and students in the recently held felicitation function organised in our college in the presence of Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, Prof Rajan Velukar. Before you start reading, let me thank Ms.Aditi profusely for sending me the text of her speech.
It is said that Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see, and yes indeed even with closed doors of my eyes I have seen this kindness from my college. At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. And for me that spark has come from my college. When I entered the college I had millions of questions in my mind "Will i be able to mingle into the college environment? Will other fellow students help me? Would there be an equal recognization for my efforts? And today when i stand here it seems I am at home amongst my family and all those questions seem to be mere unnecessary worries.
Life is a journey but with my physical disability this path has always been full of hurdles and obstacles but with the support that I have recieved from my parents and my college these hurdles could never shake me. Today when i get the oppurtunity to shout my gratitude to all those who had lightened the flame of encouragement in my dark life I firstly thank principal mam for all her kindness and support right from day 1 till now the most difficult arithmetic for me would be to count the number of blessings that i have recieved from her. Along with Principal mam I recieved an equally important support from Vasantha mam rai sir and all my teachers. A word of encouragement during a downfall is lot's more than an hour of praise after success.I give my heartiest thanks to everyone my parents, teachers and all the other staff for this encouragement in my life. When I was born my parents taught me to dream, I dreamt but it is my college that has helped me to make this dream a reality of my life.

Dear studious students,
There is a good news for 4th and 5th rank holders (of any course)!! Yes, this year too we are issuing extra books to rank holders. But this time first five rank holders also come under this special provision. Now the aided section's students can borrow three books and unaided section's students can borrow four books each. Thanks to each and every member of our Library Advisory Committee which took this decision in a recently held meeting. So, we just wish to see you all on top again!!
(Note: Refer to the list of rank holders on Library's Notice Board on 2nd Aug, 2010).

Noted Writer and True Gandhian, Dr. N Radhakrishnan, Visits Our LInC

It was indeed a red letter day for us as Dr. N Radhakrishnan, Chairman of Indian Council of Gandhian Studies, New Delhi, visited our LInC on 24th July, 2010. He was in our college as Chief Guest for the Inaugural Programme of Centre of Gandhian Studies. After his surprising visit to the LInC, he expressed his feeling obout our LInc in the Visitor's Book as "Well kept library and I am delighted to see so many students using this facility, that too, at a time when reading habit is declining. Congrats. Keep up this great tradition. Good luck to the Principal, Management, Librarian and his staff".

Our Student Ms Nikita is Our Colleague Now !!
Yet another initiative by our college this year. Unlike education institutes abroad, our college has also introduced part-time job opportunity for our students in the college campus. We indeed appreciate our Principal and the members of Management.
This year we have appointed five such students who are working in the different sections in the campus. Let me introduce Ms. Nikita Rathod, who is one among them, working in our LInC for four hours everyday. Ms. Nikita has scored 86% in HSC and all other four students are meritorios too!! She is pursuing her degree in BScIT from our college along with the duty. All are drawing stipend for their service in the college. So meet Ms.Nikita in our library, who is presently busy in preparing Borrowers' IDs, and you (needy and interested) may also join us in the coming academic year !!!
