Written Test for Part-Time Job Seekers @ Khandwala College

The students who have applied for part-time job under 'Earn While Learn' scheme are hereby requested to appear for Written Test to be conducted on 29th June, 2013 at 10 am in the Library premises. For more details about the Test, please refer to Library's notice board or contact the Library staff. 

The selected students will be invited for Group Discussion and Interview in the first week of July, 2013.

A Teacher Training College Undergoes Orientation Programme

The Library Orientation Programme was organised for the faculty of Hansraj College of Education, Mumbai on 26th May, 2013 at our Library and Information Centre. Dr. Usha A. Borkar had led the team of fifteen teachers of the College. Mr. Santosh C. Hulagabali conducted the Orientation Programme and also interacted with the faculty on various issues related to scholarly communication.

The 1st Batch of "Certificate Course in Online Information Sources, Tools and Techniques" (COIST) completed successfully on 6th April, 2013.

The batch of 12 researchers representing 8 universities were part of the Course. The Course was conducted from 16th March, 2013 to 6th April, 2013. The eminent Resource Persons of different Universities trained the research scholars.

Our Library Starts Certificate Course for Research Scholars

Our Library and Information Centre is glad to call for admission to Certificate Course in Online Information Sources, Tools and Techniques (COIST).

The Course is a short-term programme tailored for research scholars. The Course helps research scholars learn some crucial and essential online information sources, tools and techniques. The Course will enable them to use the Internet more effectively and efficiently for their research studies or any other academic pursuit.

The research scholars will be trained, by eminent experts, on various essential online information sources and tools viz. reference managers, electronic theses and dissertations, machine translation, online search strategies, deep web, open access journals/databases, abstracting and indexing databases, compiling automatic bibliography, plagiarism detection softwares, preparing online questionnaires etc.

Our Reader Stands 1st at National Level in CA Exam

I deem it my privilege to share a good news with you all.

Ms. Prema Jayakumar, one of our readers and proud student of our College has made us proud by securing FIRST RANK at NATIONAL level in CA Eaxm.

The historic achievement of Ms. Prema has been reported by all the leading news papers. Especially, The Tiimes of India has featured the news on the FRONT page itself. Following are the news report on Ms. Prema's achievement.

Incidentally Mr. Dhanraj, her brother (also a student of our College) has also cleared CA exam!!

ISO Audit Team Applauds Library Services

The Annual ISO Audit team of Germany's TUV-NORD highly appreciated the Library and its services. The Lead Auditor, Mr. Bhupesh Rane, (in the Exit Meet (on 1st October, 2012) of the audit vist) said "The Library is one among the four positive points, of the College, we observed. The Library system is well set up and student friendly. We are highly impressed". The faculty of the College clapped and applauded the Library staff. This is for the third time the ISO Audit Team is listing Library as one of the positive points in its observation. Thanks to our readers and faculty for making our Library praiseworthy.
